Biocare Lipozyme (Fat Digesting Enzyme) 90 Capsules
Information: Lipozyme is a fat digesting enzyme product consisting of lipase enzyme in a capsule form. Lipase helps breakdown fats in the diet to a more assimilable form i.e. into glycerol and fatty acids, and is normally secreted by the pancreas and the small intestine.
Lipozyme may be helpful when the diet is high in fats, placing a burden on digestion. Fat-soluble vitamins such as A,D,E & K are absorbed more efficiently form the gut along with dietary fats when broken down by lipase. Carotenoids such as beta carotene and lycopene are also absorbed more efficiently with dietary fats.
Lipase may also be useful in situations where fat digestion is compromised
